If your immigration application has been refused, you may have the right to appeal the decision or request a review. The appeals and hearings process provides an opportunity to present your case before an independent tribunal.
Immigration Appeal Division (IAD)
The IAD hears appeals of sponsorship applications, removal orders, and certain other immigration decisions. The IAD is part of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada (IRB).
Federal Court
You can apply to the Federal Court for judicial review of many immigration decisions. This is not an appeal but rather a review of whether the decision was made according to law.
